Welcome to another edition of In The Spotlight. Mari Hannah has written several series and standalones, and her work has been highly regarded both commercially and critically. I’ve been remiss about including one of her novels in this feature, so let’s take care of that today. Let’s turn the spotlight on The Murder Wall, the first of her Kate Daniels series.
The action in the story begins when Northumbria Police Detective Chief Inspector (DCI) Kate Daniels pays a visit to St. Camillus Church. There, she discovers two bodies: a young girl named Sarah Short, and a parish priest, Father Simon. The investigation into their deaths starts immediately, but the police can’t find enough evidence to pursue a suspect.
